About QuantaFab Technologies

Our Mission

QuantaFab Technologies provides rapid, flexible nanofabrication and process development for startups, research teams, and hard-tech innovators who can't afford the cost, scale minimums, or multi-month queues of commercial foundries. Operating out of the Birck Nanotechnology Center at Purdue University, a state-of-the-art university cleanroom facility in West Lafayette, Indiana, QuantaFab gives clients direct access to thin-film deposition, e-beam and optical lithography, dry and wet etching, packaging, and full materials and device characterization — with feature resolution down to 20 nm. 

Founded by Ahmad Azizimanesh, Ph.D. EE, with prior research experience at Microsoft Quantum Lab and Western Digital, QuantaFab bridges university-grade fabrication infrastructure with the speed and responsiveness startups need to move from concept to working device. 

Our Capabilities

Operating out of the Birck Nanotechnology Center at Purdue University, QuantaFab provides startups and research teams with direct access to a full suite of nanofabrication and characterization tools — without the minimums, delays, or overhead of commercial foundries.

►Lithography — E-beam (down to 7 nm), optical, nano-imprint, two-photon, and helium ion

►Deposition — PVD, CVD, PECVD, ALD, MBE, PLD, and electrodeposition

►Etching — ICP RIE, DRIE (Bosch), CCP RIE, ion milling, XeF2, and wet etch

►Thermal processing — Oxidation, LPCVD, RTA, and annealing

►Packaging — Wire bonding, flip-chip, dicing, polishing, and PCB prototyping

►Metrology — SEM, profilometry, AFM, film thickness, and optical microscopy

►Characterization — Electrical, optical, magnetic, and surface/structural analysis
